I have asked the children to complete some World War 2 topic homework over the summer holidays. This can be anything creative (basically anything that isn't a sheet of A4 paper). Ideas include a shoe box turned into an evacuee's suitcase, a model of an Anderson shelter, a doll wearing home made army/navy/air force/land army uniform, photographs of food produced from a WW2 recipe, model Spitfire, ration book.
Please can children bring their homework in during the first week back in September, so that it can be incorporated into our topic displays. Thank you, Mrs. Crotty
Please send a water bottle (filled with water) with your child each day.
Your child's reading book and Reading Record needs to be sent to school every day. It would really help your child's progress if you could listen to your child read, and discuss their reading, at least once a week, either their book, or online on Accelerated Reader. Logins are in their Reading Record. Children earn a raffle ticket every time an adult at home writes a comment in their Reading Record. A ticket is pulled out of a hat with the winner choosing a prize from our prize bag.
PE days are currently on Wednesdays and Fridays - kit is house colour/white T-shirt, navy blue/black shorts or jogging suit and trainers.
