Welcome to Year 1!

We are an energetic class of 30 children who are inquisitive and eager to learn. In Year 1, we learn through structured teaching and continuous provision activities and tasks. If we listen well and work hard, we come home with a sticker so please make sure you ask us what we have done to achieve it!

Our class teacher is Mrs Womble and Mrs Treweek and Miss Wright are the teaching assistants in Year 1!

Year 1 is a busy year group with lots of focus on reading, phonics, writing and maths! Please make sure you check out ‘Our Learning’ section on our class page for more information on our topics, useful websites to use to enhance our learning and to see photographs of all the fantastic work that we have been doing!

Please note that Mr Windsor will teach us on a Wednesday afternoon. Our P.E days are Tuesday and Thursday. On our P.E days, children should come to school  in their P.E kits, wearing their house colour t-shirt or a white polo t-shirt with navy or black bottoms and appropriate pumps. A spare pair of shoes should be brought into school on our P.E days just in case our P.E pumps get wet and dirty from outdoor P.E!
