Please find below the Spring Term 2 homework overview. I will post a detailed message on Parent Hub weekly (normally Fridays) giving you more details about that week's homework. Homework is due in Wednesday or Thursday the following week. Along with the homework set by me, Mrs Treweek will also be setting a weekly driving challenge on Reading Eggs so look out for that weekly! Week 5's homework is:
*Differentiated spellings based on phonics group. Focusing on common exception and tricky words.
*Writing - use your paper telescopes and draw and write about something exciting that you have seen over the weekend (inspired by our virtual session with the author Nick Sharratt.)
*Reading - please read your school reading book over the weekend and record in your reading recors.
Homework is due in on Wednesday 8th December or Thursday 9th December for checking. Reading records will be checked on Monday and Thursday next week and books changed if needed.

*Science - labelling parts of a bird to consolidate our science learning on the classification of birds. You might want to go on a bird hunt around your garden or in the local woods to see these features up close!
*Reading - please read over the weekend.

Autumn 1 - Week 2 - Homework
On Friday, the children should have received their first homework pack. Inside this pack should be:
A one more and one less maths worksheet.
A phonics related spelling sheet to practise our focus blends and digraphs from week 2.
A word mat containing different Rex Retrieval questions that you could ask your child after reading with them.
Week 2's homework pack is due back into school before Wednesday 22nd September 2021.
