Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
SICKNESS UPDATE
The bug seems to be a 'quick-recovery-sick-once-and-that's-it' type, which is obviously good news.
Mr Wall and his staff have ensured the area is clean (which did not involve any sort of fumigation), and we are reinforcing hygiene at every possible opportunity.
Please remember not to send your child into school until 48 after any vomiting. Even though the bug does not seem to have any lingering effects, it is important that you follow these guidelines to minimise any further outbreak.
Many thanks for all of your support.
Sickness
We have a number of children absent today in Year 1 through, what we believe, is an airborne virus. It seems to be a particularly nasty strain resulting in vomiting.
At present we have moved the Year 1 children into another area of the school to allow Mr Wall to commence a thorough cleaning of the room, the cloakroom and toilet area.
There is no indication or evidence that this is in anyway related to school dinners or kitchen hygiene as it is localised to the Y1 children and no other classes have been affected.
Please continue to reinforce good hygiene procedures with your children as we do in school. The best way of dealing with this situation is to ensure hands are washed after visits to toilets and before eating.
Many thanks for assisting us in the handling of this situation.
