  • NEW TESCO UNIFORM SHOP

    Wed 12 Nov 2014

We have set up an online uniform shop with Tesco. We will still have the Stitch Factory service available through school, however with increasing pressure to get items of uniform quickly we feel that having an online facility delivered to your home may be more convenient for parents. The uniform samples sent to school perhaps aren't of the same quality as Stitch Factory, but similarly children grow so quickly a number of parents aren't getting value for money because children grow out of uniform before it is worn out. We didn't feel the difference was enough to prevent us from setting it up (Samples are available in the office if you would like to check before you order). Please find the link to the uniform shop below we will be incorporating it in to the new website when it becomes available.

  • Lest We Forget

    Tue 11 Nov 2014

11/11/14 - 100 years on; gone but not forgotten.  The soldiers and personnel of so many conflicts to allow us the life we lead today.

I have had the enormous privilege today to accompany the School council to the Eckington Memorial to pay our respects.

The children behaved in a manner befitting the school and the occasion.  We joined a group of locals who were also paying respects - war veterans amongst them.  After the silence, which was impeccably observed, one of the veterans thanked us for attending and doing so with great respect.

We also celebrated the fact that their sacrifices were not in vain and that we should be thankful for the deeds they did in our name.  Photos were taken at the time, and thanks to Mr Jones's daughter for doing so.

    Thank you.

We had a special visit from Crystal Peaks specsavers today to talk to the Key Stage 1 children about the importance of being seen during the winter. All the children learnt about the importance of their eyes and how to take care of them. Specsavers left hi vis jackets for use on school trips and goody bags for the children to take home.
