Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Reminder of Year 5's open invite to their VE Day celebration and tea dance.
Bring your purse, or ration book and join them to cake and coffee in the hall.
Despite the snow, school will be open as normal tomorrow 19th March.
The roads look clear, but please be careful of the ice as you walk. Mr Goodwin will do his very best to make the school site safe, but he is one man against the elements!
The children will be kept in during lunch and playtime. Ideally, I would have liked them to enjoy the snow, but because of the ice, I feel that it would be unsafe and the perishing wind won't be nice to play in either.
Please take care on the way to school and please allow additional journey time. If you are waking with your child, or they walk on their own, please remember that they are representing Camm's School and should conduct themselves in the right way.
Thanks all and take care.
Mr. C.
School open as normal for Monday 5th March. hope you enjoyed your extra days off - back to it now until the end of term (a whole 3 weeks away!).
Mr C.
School will be closed on Friday 2/3/18.
As mentioned previously, the roads around Eckington look passable, but the outlying roads are still proving troublesome and travel is not advised. The forecast for early evening is also for more heavy snow.
Hopefully this early decision allows you to plan for tomorrow.
Take care and be safe.
Mr C.
We are just in the process of making a decision now.
Eckington seems fairly clear, but staff come from Sheffield, Staveley, Chesterfield, Dronfield and some from the depths of the Peak District and their safety is a huge concern.
Any decision will be based on a range of factors, so please bear with us.
Thanks
Mr C.
