After having the same dining furniture for 20 years plus the governors agreed to update and improve the lunchtime routine by investing in tables that reduce the number of repetitive movements to get set up for lunch.
As you can see from the photo's Mrs Morris our senior Midday Supervisor and Mr Wall who have born the brunt of this task for the last 20 years are very happy. In addition to this improvement the hall will be much easier to set up for impromptu group work or as a contingency in the event that the one of the classrooms becomes unusable.
It's national 'anti-bullying week. The children have all been part of a special assembly and will be taking part in activities all week. Please look at the leaflet sent home with your child.

School Council Pay Their Respects
At 11 ‘o’clock on the 11th of November, the School Councillors and Mr Cocking went to the cenotaph, in Eckington, to pay our respects to the people who fought and died for us in war. We stood in silence for two minutes to remember the people gave their lives so that we can do all of the things we are able to today.
After the two minutes, we laid a wreath to show the school’s respect for their bravery.
One of our governors is involved in a fundraising project to provide a space for older children to use in the evenings at the Friendship Hall. They have put an application in to the Aviva Community fund and are looking for local people to get behind it and support. You can register to vote for whatever project you feel most beneficial in the local area the project with the most votes will be successful in getting their bid approved. The link to register is below and all our children will be teenagers in just a few years and may want to use this kind of space please support if you are able.
