Writing Duncan's letter back to the crayon you chose.

WAGOLL:

Dear Red Crayon,

I am so sorry that you feel so overworked! I wish I had realised you felt this way before! Your lovely bright colour just goes so well for so many different drawings but you're right, you never get a break.

Please come back! I have been thinking about your letter a lot and have decided that this year, I will use some of the other colours during the holidays. Pink crayon also wrote to me as it felt unused, only my sister tends to use the pink crayon. So, for Valentines Day I am going to use pink crayon to colour in the hearts. I think our friend pink crayon will be really happy about getting to colour in all of the hearts and it also gives you a rest! At Christmas, I'll have a go at drawing more reindeers or Christmas tree's instead of Santa's, would that give you a rest too? I may still need to borrow you for Rudolph's nose but I promise that's all!

I hope whilst you have been away you have managed to relax and aren't feeling as tired anymore. I can't wait to have you back in my crayon box!

Your very sorry friend,

Duncan.
