Literacy

Handwriting - for the whole term until the end of February

Watch the PowerPoint first.

Children can draw a picture for each sound of the alphabet.  There is no need to print off the sheets.  Try writing a sentence that uses alliteration.

Work through the PowerPoint.

Thursday

Research a chosen sea creature (chosen from ocean shape poetry writing templates).

Write three adjectives, suitable words for alliteration and a simile for your chosen creature.

While watching the cartoon, make notes about the pirate's appearance, how they move and talk.

English #2

Write a shape poem about a pirate (or pirate ship).

Use the templates or draw your own shape.  Use everything you have learnt this week.
Alternatively, you could write your shape poem about the sea creature that you made notes about yesterday.  You may want to use your imagination and create your own creature!
