English Writing Vision
The overall vision is to inspire a love of writing by fostering curiosity, creativity and an enthusiasm for language. Through the use of imaginative tasks, drama and a wide range of genres, we nurture creative writers who can write effectively, with purpose and for diverse audiences.
Our curriculum links with Camms' overarching values of love, humanity and aspiration in order to inspire a love of learning, perseverance and sense of working together. By developing writing skills with children at Camms we hope to raise aspirations for future careers and improve the future learning opportunities for every child.
The School Development Plan and the Writing Curriculum places qualitative learning ahead of quantitative learning. This keen focus ensures knowledge and skills are embedded, retrievable and form the bedrock of every learner's writing journey throughout their time at Camms and beyond.
