Phonics Check

Although Y1 will not being asked to complete a phonics check assessment this academic year, they may well be asked to complete the assessment in Year 2 (Autumn Term). Each week, I will include a phonics assessment that your child can have a go at home. This a useful too for identifying which sounds need to be worked on further. The easiest way to complete the assessment is to print the answer sheet, but ask your child to read the words included in the assessment (40 words in total) on screen (PDF file). The pass mark for this assessment was set at 32.
