We ask that children read at home on a regular basis to help support their progress in this key area of learning.
Once Phonics groups have commenced, children will be sent home with some spellings to learn every Friday. Although the children will have some opportunity to work on these at school during early work, we encourage all students to put in plenty of effort at home to embed the learning of new taught spellings.
Year 2 students will be using SPaG.com this year – a website with online punctuation and grammar quizzes and activities. Your child’s teacher will assign work for your child and your child should login to complete it. Your child can access SPaG.com at home and school using their own unique username and password.

Our P.E. day this term will be on a Tuesday.
This term, Year 2 will participate in six Bushcraft sessions led by Miss Yeomans These sessions will take place on Friday afternoons on the following dates: Friday 18th September, Friday 25th September, Friday 2nd October and Friday 9th October.
