SCIENCE
We encourage an enquiring mind, an understanding of the world around us and aim to develop the pupils’ scientific skills through first-hand investigation and problem solving activities.
Science is planned to cover all of the key concepts and ideas as detailed in the curriculum and this may include combining year-groups to best utilise resources and teaching.
Children cover the areas of the National Curriculum which include: plants, animals (including humans), materials and their properties, rocks, light and sound and space.
As a practical subject, we aim to engage the children through a variety of learning methods which develop scientific working, critical thinking, observation and analysis.
