Y1 Parent Phonics Briefing

Tuesday 29th September 2015, 9am in the Y1 classroom.

The purpose of this meeting is to give you relevant information about the teaching of phonics at school and also discuss the different ways you can support your child’s progress at home.

Attendance at this meeting is highly recommended because of the high priority given to the teaching of phonics throughout Key Stage 1 and the national expectations of pupil progress in Year 1.

Below is an outline of the meeting:

9:00     Short presentation by Mr Blake and Miss Clayton

9:20     Time for questions and further discussion

9:30     Opportunity observe children using phonics resources in class

9.45     Meeting closes

For those of you unable to join us, please head over to the Year 1 Class page where I have uploaded all the resources looked at this morning.
