Welcome to Year 4! We have 20 children in our class. Our Teacher is Mrs Pemberton and our TA is Mrs Philipson. We all work very hard together and try to live by our British Values.
British Values Statement Year 4
The Dfe have recently reinforced: “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”
At Camms these values are reinforced regularly, please see the document below to see how we in Year 4 try to put it into practice.

A Big Thank You!
As we approach the end of Year 4 I have enjoyed working with you, in helping your child to achieve their full potential and (hopefully) making their time in Y4 at Camms a happy, enjoyable and memorable learning experience. Many thanks for all your support at home! I do appreciate it.
Recently we have completed a 5km Race for Life, Quad kids athletics - where we were magnificent! Finishing 2nd overall in the boys' and the girls' events! We have produced some stunning work during our Topic fortnight, much of it as props for the show! At the moment we are in the final stages of the preparations for DAZZLE! What a year!
Reminders:
Homework:
Spelling homework each Monday to be tested on the Friday
The children need to be learning times tables as an on-going task each week.
Each child should try to bring in a piece of work from the Topic based project sheet each week.- Thank you for all the work you've done so far this year! Currently we are creating a fabulous display about Britain!
We have already completed two Enterprise Projects, firstly a Roman Museum, where we raised over £300. The museum was a big project. We made artefacts during lessons, and for homework. We also ran a cafe, gift shop and Art Gallery where our original art work was on display.
The second project - the Christmas Fair -was a joint one with the whole school. Y4 made over £200 profit from their stalls. The money made on both projects has helped to pay for our two trips out so far this year. We have been by coach to the Dance Platform and to the Mosque.
As Year 4's we know that our behaviour is important and we always try our best. Respect is key to our learning and we never interrupt an adult or each other!
