School council's Hand-washing class presentation. The children learnt how bacterial is transferred from one person to the next and how well we actually clean our hands.

The children have been thoroughly engaged with the class book we are studying at the moment. The Phantom Tollbooth.

Year 4 Parents Meeting Follow-Up

Sorry for the delay in sending the letter: I needed to get Miss Fuentes's seal of approval.

Thanks again to all those that could make it - lots of positive ideas for the way forward!

Y4 Meeting Follow-Up

Year 4 parents meeting on Monday 29th of January at 5.30pm.

Personal Best Event at Eckington School - the kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly and tried hard to beat their own times.

Happy New Year and welcome to 2108.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a fabulous New Year.

Please find a homework grid for Robots, which is our theme this term (Spring term 1) and a revised topic web.  Swimming will continue as usual on a Tuesday afternoon.

In regards to homework, I will be keeping a closer eye on homework done on Spag.com and Activelearn.co.uk.  I will be expecting each child to complete at least one test on Spag and a minimum of three completed tasks on activelearn each month.  If your child doesn't have access to these websites at home, they will have opportunities to complete these tasks at school in the homework club.

If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Miss Fuentes

Christmas song - Boogie Woogie Santa Claus

Boogie Woogie Santa lyrics

What did the Romans do for us? Our fabulous class assembly...

Mars attacks! - The God of War paid a visit to the classroom today while the children were in assembly. This is what they found!

Today we looked at Ancient Roman poo - to see what the Romans ate!

Hello and welcome to a new year and new term.

As you have gathered we are learning about Romans this term.  A homework grid has been sent home, but if you don't have one, please find one on this page.

The children will be starting swimming this year and a letter will be going home shortly.  Please send back the reply as soon as you can, so we can make sure they are all ready to start their lessons on the 19th of September.

There won't be much change to how the lessons and classroom is set up. Behaviour expectation will be the same next year and already the class have shown they remember the routines of the day.

I am looking forward to this year in 4 and we have already started knuckling down to work, so we can improve even more this year.
