Class Information and Welcome
We are a happy class of 28. Our teacher is called Mr Blake and our teaching assistant is called Mrs Riley. We learn new things everyday and enjoy school very much.
We love singing and enjoy performing to the rest of the school and parents when we do our Nativity play at Christmas and our class assembly.
We work hard and love to take home stickers and certificates.
We need a PE kit in school everyday. We remember to bring our book bags to school each morning and work hard on our reading throughout the week.
We also enjoy practising our spellings and playing maths games at home using the TT Rock Stars website.
We are also sharpening our grammar skills online this year using the spag.com website.
Year 2 had an enjoyable visit to Eckington Woods today (Thursday 17th October). The children completed lots of activities linked to our topic 'Why do animals need a habitat'?
We had a fantastic morning finding out about Owls with Mr Morley this morning (Tuesday 15th October). The children found out lots of fascinating facts and enjoyed watching Mr Morley's owls flying in the school hall. Here are some action shots from the morning.
It would be fantastic to have some topic homework in this term from the children. Here are some ideas to help start those creative ideas flowing...
Year Two had great fun today (Tuesday 24th September) on our class trip to Matlock Bath. The weather didn't dampen our spirits and we were still able to get outside for a spot of pond dipping. The children founds out lots of information to support our topic 'Why do animals need a habitat?' and were even able to find out what owls eat by investigating their pellets! Thank you to all the parent helpers that made this trip possible.
The children had a fantastic time today (Friday 13th September) celebrating Roald Dahl Day. Here are some photos of the children dressed up as their favourite characters.
The children had great fun today (Friday 13th September) working on a ladybird reasoning challenge. Well done children for working so hard on this puzzle!
