Home Lambing
Mrs Treweek has acquired a lamb! (see below for details).
On this page will be the Camm's Lamb cam, where you can keep up to date with the progress of the little one.
Please send in, to the photos@camms.derbyshire.sch.uk, any lamb-related artwork, questions or anything you feel can be added to this page to again bring us all together during these testing times.
Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all ok and keeping safe at home. As you can see we have had a new addition to the Treweek family, Annie the Camms lamb. I imagine you're all wondering "How has Mrs Treweek ended up with a lamb during lockdown?"
Well it's like this, while we've all been staying safe inside nature has still been working it's magic outside. For a long time Mr Treweek and his friend Mitch have kept all sorts of farmyard animals. At the moment they have 7 sheep, 3 of these we're due to have lambs during this lockdown time. On Tuesday 14th April Annie and her twin brother were born. Usually lambs will feed from their mum, she has 2 teets full of milk perfect for 2 babies. Unfortunately for Annie her mummy didn't want to feed her and was using her head to butt her out of the way. Sometimes when this happens another mummy sheep will feed the lamb instead, but this time they were busy looking after their own babies. So, this is where we come in. We can feed Annie with a bottle (and we love doing it).
So Annie came to live with us on Thursday when she was 2 days old, so we can feed her 5 times each day. She will stay with us for 6 weeks until she can feed herself by eating grass, then off she'll go back to her mummy and brother.
We hope you enjoy watching Annie as much as we do. Fingers crossed we will all be back at school soon and Annie can come and see you all in person!
Take care, keep smiling and stay safe xx
Mrs Treweek
