Reception - Mrs Eyre

Class Information and Welcome

Welcome to our class page. We are a very busy class of 30 children. We have lots of adults to help us as e begin our journey through school. They are: Mrs Eyre [class teacher], Mrs Kerry [teacher on Tuesday], Mrs Welsh [teacher on Wednesday], Mrs Rotherham and Mrs Fawcett [teaching Assistants] and Miss Parkin [Apprentice TA].

Our day begins at 8:50am when we meet together for Register and find out what we are doing that day. We have lots of opportunities to learn through play both inside and outside. We will be developing lots of skills like building relationships, being creative, using numbers and letters, using our bodies, singing, listening etc.

Quite often there will be photos of us busy at school on the website so don't forget to check regularly.

Christmas Tree Festival with Year 6

We have been busy doing lots of maths this week. Perhaps you could try some of these things at home.

As it was Prince Charles' birthday, we found out about the Royal family. We played with and built castles with our friends and even made birthday cards.

As part of our work on anti-bullying we wore odd socks to school and learn't a song called 'respect' by CBEEBIES Andy and the odd socks. We made odd socks and posters to encourage us to be kind

Such a fun last week! Music, talking partners and even a parachute!

Superhero PE! Do you like our go faster jetpacks?

The children had a lovely time in the woods looking for signs of Autumn!

This week we have been Superheroes!

We've had a brilliant first few days and have settled quickly.
