Snow Update - 7.35am 30th Jan

Due to site and road safety, SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED.

I have spoken to my Chair of Governors and other local headteachers, and we are in agreement that the safety or pupils, parents and staff (many of whom travel from Chesterfield, Dronfield and beyond), is of paramount importance.

This decision has been much harder than the one to close yesterday, mainly due to the fact that it looks clear, and has not been taken lightly.

Many apologies if this has caused issues, but I am sure you will agree that being safe is sensible.

School planning on being open as usual, but please take extra care on the roads and give yourself extra time to complete your journey.

Due to current weather conditions, forecast and road conditions WE ARE CLOSED TODAY.  Please come back to the website regarding tomorrow.

Snow Update - 6.55am

Even though there are mixed reports about overnight snowfall, I have some concerns regarding the forecast for the rest of the day.

At the present school is OPEN as normal, but I will update this as soon as I have confirmation from staff regarding safe travel.
